Documentation und National Congress, November 26, 9-17 pm in Berlin

The documentation of the support program and the Federal Congress "20 Years of the Socially Integrative City" in November 2019 take a look back at the success story of the urban development support program, which now spans 20 years. The program as well as the participating levels of actors, tools, and effects will be made visible in several different ways. As an instrument of urban development funding, the "Socially Integrative City" has produced innovative and exemplary procedures for urban development, also on a European scale. The linking of structural-investment and social measures - the integrated approach - is seen as a core aspect and success factor of the program.

The neighborhood level is already a fixed reference point for integrative developments with a strong social component, and this will become more and more important in the future. The documentation and the congress take this significant level of action into account and thus make a contribution to the discussion about the parameters of innovative urban development. The transferability and further development of the program in the face of increasing challenges for municipalities, states, and neighborhoods comes into question here.

Congress and documentation are aimed at the political and professional public from federal states, municipalities, associations, and science.
