IBA Basel 2020
Effects of the International Building Exhibition
IBA Basel 2020 is the first cross-border construction exhibition, which is unique as it combines the border areas of France, Switzerland, and Germany. IBA Basel 2020, which has been running since 2010, aims to initiate spatial development using model projects in the fields of "City+Mobility", "Landscape", and "Coexistence" in order to improve the quality of life in the border area of the three nations.
The expected effects of this will be looked into as preparation for the IBA Basel 2020. To this end, the regional projects and associated stakeholder networks and processes will be analyzed in order to determine which effects can be expected to improve the quality of life in the three-border area.
The empirical investigation is based on quantitative and qualitative research methods, such as stakeholder surveys and interviews. An impact map makes it possible to understand the changes in the region as a multi-layered transformation, present the findings, and make them accessible in graphic form
